How ScamVu helps

Not a virus scanner — a calm, plain-spoken guide that builds real instincts for spotting fraud.

Learn

Eight plain-language guides cover today's most common scams — fake government calls, computer pop-ups, crypto ATM fraud, romance scams, and more. Each gives the warning signs and one clear action.

Practice

Eight real-world scenarios. Scam or real? Get instant feedback and a plain explanation after each one — no judgment, just useful practice.

Help Now

Being pressured right now? A calm, step-by-step screen with tappable numbers for the National Elder Fraud Hotline and the FTC — real people who help, for free.

Three rules that stop most scams

1

Slow down. Scammers create panic so you can't think. It's always okay to hang up.

2

Never pay with gift cards, wires, or crypto. No real company or agency ever asks for these.

3

Verify yourself. Call back on a number you already have, or ask a family member first.

$15.9B

lost to fraud by Americans in 2025 — a record high.

People age 50 and older lost $4.3 billion of that.
